Results-oriented technical specialist sought to provide first line technical help desk phone support analysis in a fast paced environment. The successful candidate will be able to troubleshoot issues with various Windows desktop and network operating systems, Microsoft Office suite and computer equipment. Excellent communications skills, a positive attitude and the ability to accurately document and report problems to technical staff are a must. County departments occasionally require temporary employees to fill absences due to vacations and illnesses. The County maintains a list of interested individuals to contact when a need of this type arises. The duration of the employment may be from a half-day up to an extended assignment, dependent on the circumstances. Anyone interested in temporary administrative/clerical type work must complete and submit a standard Botetourt County Application for Employment (see links at top of this page). Volunteering

Recreation

The Recreation Department is continually looking for dedicated volunteers to support its various programs and activities. The County utilizes volunteers to support parks and playing fields, coach youth sports teams, and promote its many programs. Additionally, the County works collectively with seven booster clubs in the area made up entirely of volunteers, which support and organize local youth sports leagues.
