Fleet Maintenance Clerk (Part-time)

Botetourt County has an immediate opening for the position of Fleet Maintenance Clerk (Part-Time) for our Department of General Services.

An employee in this position performs responsible clerical duties, applies established general office procedures and departmental methods to situations which are routine in nature. Employees in this class should possess a basic understanding of bookkeeping and be able to compute simple math equations. Proven experience with creating and maintaining Excel spreadsheets is a requirement as well as invoicing and bill preparation to meet required deadlines. Inventory management and fleet vehicle fuel management experience is preferred. 

The postion will work approximately 20 - 25 hours per week. Standard work hours will be between  7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. weekdays, with flexibility for the days worked each week. 

Starting pay: $11.72-$12.50 per hour, DOE

Botetourt County has an immediate opening for a Utility Maintenance Worker. This is a full-time position with an excellent benefits package. Position requires knowledge of equipment, pumps, and procedures involving construction and maintenance of water and sewer facilities and manual labor. Backhoe experience is a plus. Must possess valid Class A CDL or be able to secure within 6 months of employment. Pre-employment physical and drug screening required.

Starting salary $25,906 to $30,000, DOE.

Volunteering

  • Recreation

The Recreation Department is continually looking for dedicated volunteers to support its various programs and activities. The County utilizes volunteers to support parks and playing fields, coach youth sports teams, and promote its many programs. Additionally, the County works collectively with seven booster clubs in the area made up entirely of volunteers, which support and organize local youth sports leagues.
